These artworks are a result of the exclusive and unique collaboration
between Digital Illustrator Juan-Carlos Cambón of Nipponaisuki and
Master Calligrapher Hiroko-Fukuda of Wakoshi.
The artworks represent a special collaboration between UK-Japan mixing
both artists unique and special talents together. Collaborating
closely both artists aim to create art pieces that cross boundaries
from UK to Japan and across time from traditional Japanese calligraphy
to latest digital illustration and blending together a mix of
influences from ancient Japanese mythology to modern neo pop culture,
creating artwork that’s edgy, bold and unique, while being subtle and
sophisticated, all spiced with a multitude of layers holding the
artists visions and deeper meanings.

The works exist in both the realms of the human psyche and the spirit that defy description.
Her artworks are composed of the straight lines, circles and special
complexity use of color calligraphy.
Creating unique and abstract calligraphy artworks.
She piles up the material of Japanese paper and makes original foundation paper repeatedly.
She expresses the image color of the kanji and the hiragana in foundation paper.
And, she paints the entire foundation paper in the color and puts out the depth repeatedly.

Hiroko, the calligrapher artist expresses
the characteristics to the NEW WORLD OF KANJI KAWAII POETRY
on washi (Japanese traditional handmadepaper), and T-shirts etc.
She is pioneering a new wonderful world of elements of calligraphy.
Her TECHNIC is named
“yuu-hitsu (Kawaii playful touches with colors)”

An artist, Hiroko Fukuda
She was born in in Tokyo in 1940.
She was belonging at Kuwasawa design laboratory
and when she was 26 years old,
she became a discipline of a calligrapher to
learn the basis of the characters.
When she was 40 years old she started art activity individually.
She continued private exhibition which is called
“Yu-hitsu with Japanese black ink and color”
for 17 years.
In 1993,
her exhibition was held in Beijing China, where is the “home” of
calligraphy and evaluated high.
At the exhibition in Paris which was held in 1994, Parisian were attracted
by the“Mystery of the Orient”.
Her later exhibition in New York attracted the local people and
an article about her art was carried in a famous art magazine.
As a calligraphy artist, she makes most use of the Kanji character
in the daily life by using,
them in on Kimono fabric, earthenware, various interiors,
logo production and so on.
Recently,
Her art project collaborates on the work to an overseas artist(UK).
She is making uniting the work that exceeds the country (Orient and West) and
time (modern and classics).

「1940年生れ、東京都出身。桑沢デザイン研究所を経て、 26歳で文字の基本を学ぶため
書道家 井垣北城{(1912年 – 1984年)山内春苑に師事}に
弟子入りし「書」の世界に足を踏み入れ、その後40歳で独立、
ベースは、自ら和紙の材料を盛り重ねて
オリジナルの素地を作り、
そこに漢字やひらがなの文字のイメージを表現し、
素地全体を岩彩の色で塗り重ねて深みを出してゆく。
「遊筆」と名付けられた独自スタイル
個展活動「彩と墨による遊筆展」を続けて24年、各方面で高い評価を得ている。
1993年に書の本場の中国・北京(メディアホール)で個展を開催し高く評価され、
1994年に開かれたパリ(JALギャラリー)の個展では、
「東洋の神秘」とパリっ子たちの注目を集めた。
その後開催されたニューヨーク(トルコ大使館大ホール)の個展が現地で話題になり、
有名なアート雑誌に何ページにもわたって特集が組まれ絶賛される」
書道アーチストとして、暮らしの中に文字を生かすことに取り組み、
着物、陶器、各種インテリア、ロゴ制作などの幅広い活動をしている。
